Toll-like receptor 1 (TLR1) often designated as CD281 (cluster of differentiation 281), number member family of receptors known as pathogen associated molecular pattern with specificity for bacteria Gram-positive. Thus, the variation of the inflammatory response to bacterial lipopeptides is regulated by a common TLR1 polymorphism transmembrane domain could affect the innate immune response and clinical sensitivity to a broad spectrum of pathogens.
